Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Health Center with front-line patient care and clinical procedures across a busy clinic.

The MA will perform non-professional clinical duties, operate medical equipment, and assist with patient care and documentation in the electronic medical record. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CMA/RMA certification or California-approved medical assistant certifying organization.
• Minimum one year of recent medical assisting work experience preferred.
• Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, injections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in Patient Care Team duties and activities.
• Administers medications per Provider's orders; consults with Provider/RN as needed.
• Performs vitals, immunizations screening, and health maintenance assessments.
