Job summary

Fresno American Indian Health Project provides medical services in Fresno, CA.We seek a Medical Assistant who combines warmth with clinical competence to support providers and patients in a busy health center.

You will perform specimen collection, EKGs, accu-checks, education, health coaching, and ensure smooth patient flow while maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant and BLS required; CCMA within 6 months.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of EHR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort and support patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Document visit data accurately in the EHR.
• Perform specimen collection, EKGs, accu-checks per guidelines.
• Assist clinicians and maintain clean exam rooms.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
• Engage in health coaching and patient education.
