Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Omaha is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist physicians in patient care activities including examinations and procedures. Your responsibility will include documenting medical processes, providing patient education, and performing telephone triages. The ideal candidate will have completed a Medical Assistant Program or possess relevant experience in the healthcare field. This full-time position offers a schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 6 months of medical assistant experience.
• Currently enrolled in nursing courses, providing transcripts.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with daily activities and patient preparation.
• Document lab procedures and follow up on appointments.
• Educate patients and families on health practices and community resources.
• Perform telephone triage and maintain work area organization.
