Responsibilities include patient/family education, telephone triage, maintaining clean work areas, handling prescription renewals, and ensuring age-appropriate care. Prior MA program with externship or 6 months related experience is required, with BLS/CPR preferred

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
• Program must include an externship/preceptorship in a clinical setting OR 6 months of current MA experience.
• If enrolled in nursing, provide transcripts showing completed classes.

Aufgaben

• Assist physicians with patient examinations, phlebotomy, injections, medication entry, orders, and scheduling tests.
• Educate patients and families per provider directions; connect to community resources as needed.
• Perform telephone triage and document patient conditions for providers.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper disposal of specimens.
• Process prescription renewals and communicate with pharmacy according to protocols.
• Ensure age-appropriate patient care following age-specific criteria.
