Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) to join our provider care team. This role focuses on accurate, timely laboratory support, specimen collection, data handling, and scheduling, aligned with Mercy Signature Service Standards.

The LST II will perform specimen acquisition, ensure safe, effective testing procedures, and comply with HIPAA and lab policies. Hours are 3am-1:30 pm rotating weekends and holidays, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience.
• Completion of facility competencies for advancement may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in laboratory support for reports, data and scheduling.
• Acquire all required specimens using safe, accurate methods.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow lab policies.
• Provide excellent customer service per Mercy standards.
