Job summary

HCA Florida University Hospital is seeking a Non-Technical Hospital Laboratory Coordinator to support non-technical functions across shifts and help ensure smooth department operations. You will coordinate specimen collection, processing and referral testing under supervision, and contribute to service quality, regulatory compliance and patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, a technical diploma preferred, and 1–3 years in a clinical lab setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical diploma preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
• 1-3 years in specimen collection and processing.
• 1-3 years in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of non-technical support functions of the department on assigned shifts under supervision.
• Perform all non-technical duties within the department, including specimen collection, processing and referral testing.
• Support department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction and collaboration.
