Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital in Lehigh Acres, FL is seeking a Lab Section Coordinator to lead technical and non-technical activities within the laboratory, ensuring quality and compliance while supporting daily operations.

The role requires 2-year Associate's degree, MS in Medical Tech preferred, Florida Technologist license or eligibility, and 3–5 years as a Medical Technologist; you will coordinate QC, equipment maintenance, training, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2 year Associate's Degree, Science
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred
• State of Florida Technologist license or ability to obtain
• 3-5 years as a Medical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activities of technical and/or non-technical functions of the department on assigned shifts under supervision.
• Performs technical and non-technical duties in assigned areas of responsibility as required.
• Functional areas may include specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
• Coordination of quality control, scheduled equipment maintenance, personnel training, regulatory inspection preparation, and scheduling.
• Support the Department Manager/Director in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities

Education

Associate's Degree in Science
