Job summary

Freeman Regional Health Services is seeking a part-time cook to prepare, cook, serve, and distribute meals for patients, residents, employees and visitors in accordance with approved menus. You will work rotating days/evenings/nights and weekends/holidays, with a minimum of 48 hours per pay period, and support food service operations with strong customer service and adherence to dietary procedures.

Requirements include being 18+ and high school diploma or GED; food service training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Food service education or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items for patients, staff, cafeteria, and events.
• Meets standards for sanitation, quality and efficiency.
• Delivers products according to time schedule.
• Makes recommendations for menus.
• Completes daily cleaning as directed.
• Provides excellent customer service using Food Services scripts.
• Follows all dietary procedures per policy.
• Completes additional tasks as assigned.
