HCA HealthOne in Denver, CO is hiring a Patient Logistics Specialist to respond to calls, gather information, coordinate bed availability, transfers, and discharge transports, ensuring smooth patient flow. The role requires acute care familiarity and strong communication.

You will join a large healthcare network offering comprehensive benefits. Applicants living within 60 miles of PLC locations will be prioritized; rotating weekends and holidays are required, with 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in acute care setting (ED) preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to phone calls with urgency and good customer service.
• Gather information to open cases and prepare clinical packets for clinicians.
• Maintain awareness of facility staff, services and programs.
• Locate resources to support patient disposition and admissions.
• Track bed availability for non-HCA placements and admissions.
• Manage hospital transfers and transports telephonically and via computer systems.
• Provide status updates to customers on patient cases and bed requests.
• Assist scheduling and prioritizing discharge transports.
