Job summary

Proactive MD in Artesia, NM seeks an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care at our employer-sponsored health center. This full-time role offers a 30-hour week schedule with no Fridays and no weekends.

You will spend meaningful time with patients, averaging 30 minutes per visit, and focus on listening, diagnosing, educating, and building lasting relationships. A strong emphasis is on prevention, wellness, and team-based care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program.
• Current and unrestricted PA license in state of posting (NM).
• PA-C certification with prescriptive authority.
• 2+ years in family practice or primary care.
• Experience with EMR and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to adult and pediatric (2+) patients in an employer-sponsored center.
• Evaluate, treat acute and chronic conditions; develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide preventive care, wellness services and health education.
• Conduct physical exams and comprehensive histories.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostics; prescribe medications per laws.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and healthcare resources.
• Build lasting patient relationships and document encounters in EMR.
• Maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance; work with the clinic team to ensure efficiency.
• Participate in patient education and health promotion initiatives.
