Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Preference for EPIC system experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with warmth and provide directions.
• Professionally handle telephone communications, paging, and message taking.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures while minimizing wait times.
• Complete accurate patient registration including demographics and insurance.
• Verify written physician orders and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations or referrals.
• Collect co-pays and balances and coordinate with billing for financial assistance.
• Prepare, maintain, and retrieve patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Communicate follow-up activities during check-out and reschedule when needed.
• Enter provider charges in Epic and assist with work queue and scheduling templates.
