Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical or healthcare front desk role preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pays, and basic medical billing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus in the Houston market.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner upon arrival.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service.
• Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information in the EMR system.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries promptly.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed.
• Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming.
