• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in patient billing/collections or insurance, preferably in hospital revenue cycle.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.
• Ability to communicate with patients and staff effectively.
• Knowledge of hospital and PO billing, collections, reimbursement, contractual agreements and the appeals process.

Responsibilities

• Resolve troubled accounts and coordinate resolutions.
• Interact with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Audit and quality review of billing and account resolution processes.
• Document actions in account history notes for auditability.
