Qualifications

• Experience conducting benefit investigations and insurance verifications.
• Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with teams and management.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with accurate data entry.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review orders requiring benefits investigation and prior authorization to ensure timely processing.
• Verify patient insurance information is accurate and up to date.
• Contact carriers to verify eligibility, benefits, deductibles, and authorization requirements.
• Document all interactions with insurance representatives with reference numbers and outcomes.
• Communicate coverage restrictions and prior authorization needs to internal teams.
• Provide cross-functional support within the department as needed.
• Promote accountability, integrity, and teamwork in daily operations.
