Job summary

Mountain View Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Financial Counselor to support patient access and financial clearance, visit in-house patients, and explain financial responsibilities.

You will generate insurance verifications, assist with payment arrangements, and coordinate with Medicaid Eligibility Staff, using Meditech or similar HIS systems.

Strong customer service and Microsoft Office skills, plus a high school diploma and 1 year of related experience, are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of related experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Follow AIDET guidelines in all patient interactions.
• Provide estimates to patients and/or physicians as requested.
• Generate insurance verification and precertification reports daily.
• Assist patients with payment arrangements and financial applications.
• Enter insurance information into the HIS system (e.g., Meditech) and maintain notes.
