Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical business office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing and ICD-10 coding.
• Understanding of insurance procedures and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Identify uninsured patients and develop Good Faith Estimates.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Counsel patients on financial obligations and payment arrangements.
• Assist with applications, billing inquiries, and general insurance questions.
• Coordinate with external providers to obtain patient assistance when needed.
• Maintain a current service fee schedule database.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and staff.
