Job summary

The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a full-time, on-site Patient Financial Counselor in Wichita, KS. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends.

Under supervision, you will assess patient financial needs, counsel on insurance benefits and co-payments, and help with drug reimbursement and foundation assistance. This position supports compliant, patient-centered financial services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years medical insurance verification and authorization experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient financial needs and counsel on insurance benefits and co‑payments.
• Assist with applications for drug reimbursement, copay, and foundation assistance.
• Coordinate with providers to collect information for drug reimbursement requirements.
• Upload or fax applications and financial forms to manufacturers/programs.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
