Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a Patient Financial Navigator to manage patient financial responsibilities and verify insurance eligibility. You will work within our oncology finance team to ensure accurate billing and timely payments, while maintaining up-to-date insurance benefits in the OncoEMR and Centricity systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Insurance knowledge including medical terminology and managed care processes.
• Ability to interpret ICD-10 codes and assist with patient billing.
• Experience with collecting patient financial responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and collect patients' financial responsibilities.
• Keep patients' insurance benefits up to date in OncoEMR and Centricity; review services for diagnosis coverage.
• Perform daily tasks related to Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigator duties.
