Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Financial Counselor to join our Revenue Cycle Business Services team in Montana. This full-time, day-shift, onsite role focuses on resolving patient accounts through financial clearance, collection efforts, sponsorships, and financial assistance.

You will assess eligibility, educate patients, and complete applications for state and federal programs, while upholding Providence's mission and values in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years in hospital, clinic, or healthcare business office.
• Minimum of three years experience, or proven success as Patient Financial Advocate Associate.
• Two years experience in automated, computerized account follow-up system required, preferably in Epic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial clearance and payment collection to resolve patient accounts.
• Obtain sponsorship and financial assistance for patients.
• Determine eligibility and submit applications for state/federal programs.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
