Elica Health Centers is seeking a Financial Counselor to verify patient coverage, assist with Medi-Cal eligibility, and guide patients through program applications at our Resource Center. You will collaborate with the Eligibility Team to ensure proper billing for Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health services.

Ideal candidates have experience with healthcare portals, knowledge of local programs, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required; healthcare eligibility knowledge preferred.
• Experience with Medi-Cal, BenefitsCal, and local programs is ideal.
• Proficiency with EPIC/healthcare front office processes expected.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient coverage and assist with program Enrollment and renewals.
• Communicate with patients about insurance changes and eligibility.
• Coordinate with Eligibility Team and Resource Center on referrals.
• Educate patients on local healthcare programs and portal use.
• Maintain records, attend trainings and team meetings.
