Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and financial counseling or cash collections preferred.
• Intermediate computer knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Register patients with accurate demographics and insurance data.
• Verify and authorize insurance benefits prior to services.
• Assess patient financial status and determine responsibility.
• Counsel patients on payment options and charity eligibility.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, deposits and balances.
• Document information in patient account notes.
• Provide estimates for patient expenses.
