Effingham Health System is seeking a Patient Financial Advisor to register patients, verify insurance, and educate on financial responsibilities. You will collect payments and coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth admissions and accurate billing.

The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and adherence to privacy standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Formación

• Education to high school level or equivalent.
• Basic math and data entry skills.
• Certification: Hometown Health Certifications within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients for services and enter patient data accurately.
• Explain insurance benefits and estimated liability to patients.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance where applicable.
• Coordinate with departments and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain records, scan documents, and assist with outreach to overdue accounts.
