• Determine co-payments and deductibles due from in-house patients and request payments prior to discharge.
• Determine outstanding debts owed to the hospital and include these amounts in payment requests.
• Enter newborn Medicaid subscriber numbers and prepare NB claims to bill.
• Assist patients with billing issues or questions on accounts and assist with Medicaid applications as necessary.
• Back up Cashier and Patient Account Rep as needed.
• Handle patient complaints in a timely manner.
