Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Financial Services Coordinator at Swedish First Hill in Seattle to identify and coordinate all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients. The role involves patient relations, physician liaison on financial liabilities, deposit estimates and collections, and ensuring timely, professional responses and documentation to support organizational goals.

Experience in patient financial services or medical billing is required, with a degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; or additional experience may be substituted for no degree.
• 3 years of experience in patient financial services or medical billing in a hospital business office or 5 years of experience without degree.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and coordinates all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients.
• Includes, but not limited to, patient relations, physician liaison regarding financial liabilities, deposit estimates and collection.
• Ensures customer needs or complaints related to financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner and in a way that supports organizational goals, system improvements and recovery strategies throughout the organization.
