Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a friendly Associate to join the Gold Team at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. You will warmly greet visitors, assist patients and staff, direct questions, and help ensure a smooth flow of people through the facility.

This on-site role features a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive base pay with shift differentials, and comprehensive benefits. Candidates with at least two years of public-facing experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience interacting with the public; education may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Cordially greet visitors and patients upon arrival.
• Ascertain patients’ and/or visitors’ needs, answer questions, give directions, and assist with services.
• Escort, transport, and assist patients/visitors to destinations within the hospital.
• Help with taxis/rideshare, hotels, restaurants, and local events as needed.
• Manage visitor and patient safety guidelines at facility entrances.
• Build positive relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, and staff.
• Complete verification processes and issue identification badges per policy.
• Assist vendors as needed.
• May perform unit/department-specific duties as outlined in documents.
