Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling surgeries and hospital procedures.
• Ability to obtain prior authorization and verify benefits.
• Strong EMR experience and familiarity with CPT/ICD codes.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules; handles changes, cancellations and follow‑ups.
• Obtains authorizations for surgeries/procedures; verifies eligibility and coordinates referrals.
• Prepares scheduling cards and coordinates equipment with hospital staff.
• Explains pre‑op processes to patients and coordinates pre‑op tests and labs.
• Documents in patient charts and addresses billing disputes related to procedures.
