Qualifications

• Proficient typing and general PC skills; experience with office equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; familiarity with Medipac or Epic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients on arrival and guide them through self-arrival technology or desk check-in.
• Collect copayments and other applicable patient payments at the point of service.
• Update patient demographics and insurance information; verify insurance benefits as needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and connect patients to resources for ancillary services.
• Assist patients with navigation of the MyUPMC portal and education on financial responsibility.
