Geode Health in Sunnyvale is seeking a Practice Assistant to join our outpatient mental health team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling front-office duties and supporting both administrative and clinical operations to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will manage schedules, assist providers, coordinate referrals, collect payments, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records in a fast-paced environment focused on making mental healthcare accessible and effective.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical office or healthcare experience preferred.
• Mental health or outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills.
• Comfort and ease answering the phone – you will serve our existing patient population.
• A self-starter, go-getter. You excel at time management.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage daily schedules, appointment confirmations, cancellations, and waitlists.
• Coordinate patient intake and assist with referrals, authorizations, forms, and follow-up needs.
• Collect payment for services and document co-pays, coinsurance, and balances.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and safety procedures.
