Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks a Patient Services Representative for CHOP Pediatric Primary Care in Moorestown. You will greet patients and families, collect demographics and insurance data, and handle payments while ensuring accurate daily reconciliation.

You will also schedule appointments and obtain referrals as needed per guidelines. Responsibilities include performing EPIC check-in/out tasks, verifying eligibility, triaging calls, and supporting HIPAA-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year patient services representative experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in health care registration, physician billing, medical records, or medical office work is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with confidentiality and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, prompt customer service and schedule appointments.
• Perform EPIC functions: check in, check out, enter demographic and insurance information while ensuring accuracy; run daily eligibility verifications.
• Reconciliation of daily services to include collection and processing of payments, reimbursements, create and obtain insurance referrals and authorizations.
• Answer phones promptly and document messages; triage calls and direct to appropriate providers as needed.
• Assist in HIPAA-compliant patient records management and daily schedules; participate in team huddles and meetings.
