Job summary

KU MedWest is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to join the ambulatory clinic team. The PSR will handle front desk operations, greet and check in patients, manage scheduling including telehealth and in-person visits, and support MyChart activation and EMR processing.

This role emphasizes accurate registration, insurance verification, and timely copay collection while maintaining excellent patient experience and coordinating with the provider team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service or health care experience.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients at the front desk.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and process referrals.
• Collect copays and verify insurance as needed.
• Support MyChart and EMR (Epic) workflow for check-in/out.
