Retina Consultants of Texas is seeking a Patient Liaison to join our team. This role supports patients with testing inquiries, refills, scheduling, and documentation requests.

Based at the Bellaire Clinic, it requires strong customer service, active listening, and triage skills within clinic hours. The position emphasizes coordinating tests, pre-authorizations, and referrals, with opportunities for weekend hours based on provider schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience as Ophthalmic or Medical Assistant preferred.
• 1-2 years in front or back office roles preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient questions by phone or in person regarding testing, scheduling and documentation.
• Coordinate tests, pre-authorizations and relay results to patients.
• Process prescriptions and refills (written, faxed, electronic).
• Schedule referrals and share chart information as needed.
• Request and scan medical records into the EHR system.
