Job summary

Excelsior Orthopaedics is seeking a Patient Service Representative in East Amherst, NY to be the first point of contact for patients entering the building. You will handle reception and registration, verify demographics and insurance, collect copays, and support the Physical and Occupational Therapy departments.

This full-time, day-shift role requires strong customer service, accurate data entry into Medent EMR, and teamwork with therapists and billing staff.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Associates degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years medical office experience; patient registration desirable.
• EMR experience required; MEDENT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Enter registration data into Medent and verify referrals/authorizations.
• Collect copays and balance cash drawer; log totals.
• Answer and route phone calls; schedule follow-ups with therapists.
• Coordinate with billing and therapists to support scheduling and patient flow.
