Job summary

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Patient Service Representative to guide patients and families through the care journey, from inquiry to discharge, while collaborating across divisions for top-notch service. You will ensure accurate scheduling, insurance verification, and portal usage, with a friendly, professional approach that reflects our mission.

Responsibilities include onboarding, billing inquiries, and liaising with clinicians to support productive sessions.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3+ years of experience in a medical setting.
• Must be available to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Consistent and regular attendance.
• Ability to solve problems by finding creative solutions and following through.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, professional conversational skills, and enjoy working with families and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, friendly, and compassionate customer service at each interaction including phone, email, and in-person.
• Educate and enforce Leaps code of conduct, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance amongst customers.
• Serve as the liaison between patients and clinicians, ensuring clinicians have what they need for productive sessions.
• Promote Company events and secure participation from all who enter Leaps.
• Enroll and educate patients on Raintree Portal and ensure functions are utilized including payments, receipts, statements, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with Clinical Supervisor to maximize schedules and assist with timely documentation.
• Schedule patients within clinician productivity expectations.
• Adhere to scheduling policies and meet guidelines.
• Execute full patient onboarding process including insurance verification and Raintree setup.
• Handle patient scheduling, assessments, and plan of care documentation.
• Explain enterprise differences between Leaps & FOLB and recruit parent participation.
• Manage and promote parent resource binder and other resources.
• Answer billing inquiries including balance, payments, and insurances accepted.
• Answer questions on authorizations vs prescriptions, forms, and Copay programs.
• Escalate concerns to Clinic Director as needed.
• Assist with patient surveys and marketing initiatives.
• Handle patient dropouts/discharges and ensure timely follow-up.
• Develop rapport with families and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain safe, clean waiting area and suggest improvements.
• Advise volunteers and support Leaps operations.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
