Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations and patient flow within our Peoria, AZ clinic. You will coordinate schedules, verify insurance, and ensure a seamless patient experience across care teams.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, organizational skills, and a patient-centered approach to support efficient visits and accurate record-keeping in EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and EMR familiarity.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patient focus.
• Collaborative, confidentiality-minded team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails promptly.
• Schedule patient appointments and support provider schedule optimization.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics before visits.
• Enter and maintain accurate EMR data and patient records.
• Explain insurance coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Process charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; balance allocations.
• Run reports and review accounts to ensure billing accuracy.
• Monitor patient flow and provider schedules; communicate bottlenecks.
• Provide follow-up outreach for recall and annual/necessary visits.
• Support patient retention and continuity of care across teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized front-office environment.
