Job summary

Specialty Dental Brands is seeking a Patient Coordinator to manage scheduling, patient preparation, and follow-up throughout the care journey. You will serve as the communication hub between patients and providers, ensuring all clinical and administrative needs are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Previous experience in dental or healthcare scheduling preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient appointments with accurate time allocation and operatory needs.
• Confirm appointments are spaced and aligned with availability.
• Coordinate pre-appointment and follow-up visits.
• Contact patients to confirm appointments and provide prep/follow-up instructions.
• Clearly communicate preparation instructions, financial expectations, and timelines.
• Address patient questions professionally and compassionately.
• Ensure documentation (consent forms, histories, referrals, imaging) is collected and uploaded.
• Assist with referrals and insurance authorizations as needed.
• Maintain appointment calendar and alert team of conflicts or changes.
• Monitor and reorder supplies to support daily operations.
• Assist patients at check-in/check-out as needed.
• Support administrative projects and provide coverage during absences or high-volume periods.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
