Job summary

Austin Retina Associates is seeking a Research Patient Experience Specialist to help advance retinal research and ensure excellent patient satisfaction in a busy clinic environment in Austin, TX. The role focuses on welcoming patients, coordinating study visits, and providing courteous, efficient front-desk support.

You will work Monday–Friday, handle scheduling, data entry, and communications with study teams, physicians, and patients, fostering a collaborative atmosphere and smooth study

Qualifications

• Proficiency in patient interaction and welcoming demeanor.
• Understanding of scheduling, data entry, and communication software.
• Experience using Google Workspace, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to build strong relationships with physicians, coworkers and patients.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; manage workflow independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective problem resolution.
• Experience in medical office front desk or administration.
• Commitment to continual improvement in a feedback-driven team.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in research subjects and inform study team of arrivals.
• Schedule appointments, manage check-out, and arrange transportation when needed.
• Input routine subject data and handle administrative tasks.
• Support daily study schedules ensuring physicians and staff are available.
• Maintain regular communication with clinical and research teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
