Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and Northern Idaho (PPGWNI) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant. You will greet patients, collect vitals, perform venipuncture, injections, and lab processing, and document in EMR.

You will educate patients on contraception, STI prevention, and available services with a focus on compassionate care. The MA works under supervision of a provider, with travel to affiliate sites as needed, and may work remote options when role permits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and WA State MA certification.
• Post-secondary education/certification approved by Washington State.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly to enhance the patient experience.
• Explain services, contraception options, STI information, and referrals as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and protect patient information.
• Process labs, venipuncture, injections, and in-house testing under supervision.
• Room patients, perform vitals, data entry, and documentation in EMR.
• Assist providers with procedures and telemedicine as required.
• Adhere to clinic policies, infection control, and inventory management.
