Job summary

Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai'i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky is seeking a Medical Assistant - Certified to support patients and clinicians at our health center. Under supervision of the Health Center Manager, you will perform clinical and administrative tasks to keep patient flow smooth and records accurate.

You will provide patient education, assist with exams, prepare rooms, and handle labs and injections while upholding our confidentiality and non-judgmental care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR).
• 1–2 years in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-judgmental, patient-centered care and give accurate information.
• Assist with patient flow to keep appointments on schedule.
• Prepare documents for patient records and services.
• Respond to reports and coordinate services across departments as needed.
• Educate patients on birth control and reproductive health services; provide PES and ICF resources.
