Job summary

Evolve Orthopedic Partners in Syracuse, NY, seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the first and last point of contact for patients visiting the practice. You will manage patient check-in and check-out, ensure accurate demographic and insurance information, and support scheduling and revenue cycle workflows to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a patient or customer care role; healthcare front desk preferred.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification and co-pay collection preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/check-out patients professionally and accurately in the EMR.
• Verify patient identity, insurance coverage, and eligibility.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances per policy.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals as directed by providers.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate outgoing referrals and assist front desk operations.
