InSight EyeCare in Houston, TX is seeking a passionate Patient Care & Optical Coordinator to join our team, delivering exceptional patient experiences while helping patients find eyewear solutions. The role combines front-office duties with optical support and requires a patient-first attitude.

Greet patients, verify benefits, assist with frame selections, manage billing, and coordinate care with clinicians. Training is available; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus in the Houston market.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in optometry/healthcare preferred but training may be provided.
• Familiarity with vision and medical insurance billing and verification.
• Proficiency with EHR/practice management software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm front-office experience.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing daily clinic flow.
• Verify insurance benefits and process optical and medical billing accurately.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and optical products.
• Educate patients on lens options and coatings, including contact lens solutions.
• Process eyewear orders, track lab jobs, and notify patients when ready.
• Collect co-pays, process payments, and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR.
• Support optometrists and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
• Pretesting, work ups, and hands-on patient care.
