Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years medical billing or physician office experience.
• EHR system experience required.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience with NextGen or Athena systems preferred.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operations of the facility and general office duties.
• Answer high volume inbound calls and schedule appointments.
• Check-in/check-out procedures and verify patient data.
• Inform patients of appointment details and directions.
• Collect co-pays and applicable fees; post payments.
• Identify eligibility for self-pay or financial assistance programs.
• Post payments and reconcile end-of-day activities.
• Maintain patient privacy and deliver excellent customer service.
