Job summary

H2 Health in Rural Retreat, VA is seeking a Patient Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, and handling referrals to keep clinic operations smooth.

You will maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality, assist at the front desk, work with clinicians and staff to enhance patient experience, and ensure a welcoming, organized environment. Strong communication and EMR/EHR familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments, verify insurance, and handle referrals.
