Job summary

Baton Rouge Physical Therapy is seeking a Clinic Business Manager / Care Coordinator to lead daily front office operations, coordinate patient flow, and ensure a superior patient experience.

The role requires 1+ year front office experience in a medical/physical therapy setting, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment. This is a full-time on-site position in Baton Rouge, LA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of front office experience in a medical/physical therapy setting.
• Experience with medical insurance verification and authorizations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy healthcare environment.
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients, providers, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, referrals, and workflow coordination.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients in person, by phone, and via email.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain required authorizations.
• Collect co-pays and co-insurance and follow up on outstanding patient balances as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in the EMR system.
• Supervise and support front office team members and assist with training.
• Help ensure front office responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate with clinic leadership and the Billing team regarding collections, reporting, and front office operations.
