Job summary

Baton Rouge Physical Therapy, part of Confluent Health, seeks a Full Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist for our Denham Springs and Johns Creek clinics.

You will be the first voice and face for patients, handling check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, payments, and HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced team setting. This role offers strong growth pathways and collaborative leadership support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Experience in a medical front desk or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to multitask
• Comfort with computers, phones, scheduling systems, EMR, email and basic spreadsheets
• Ability to discuss payments, scheduling expectations and basic insurance professionally
• Calm, patient-centered approach and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone calls
• Review and follow up on referrals by gathering information and updating patient records
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, cancellations and follow-ups
• Collect copays and payments accurately, with basic reconciliation when needed
• Uphold HIPAA privacy standards in all interactions and documentation
