Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Glen Ellyn to be a friendly first contact for patients. You will check in patients, collect co-pays, verify insurance in EPIC, schedule appointments, and route inquiries with accuracy and empathy.

You will support providers, maintain patient records, and contribute to a welcoming, efficient experience while upholding HIPAA standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Prior experience in a receptionist or front desk role strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly during check-in and check-out and assist with scheduling.
• Maintain lobby cleanliness and patient comfort.
• Coordinate provider schedules to optimize access and reduce wait times.
• Update patient demographics and insurance details in EPIC; handle forms and emails.
• Collect copayments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily transactions.
• Answer multi-line phone system, route inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Communicate clearly about Duly clinical staff to patients and others.
• Assist with referrals and follow-up scheduling.
• Participate in daily/weekly team huddles and monitor key metrics.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality and professionalism.
• Report and address delays to improve patient experience.
