Job summary

Virtua seeks an Administrative Patient Navigator to oversee the patient journey from scheduling to post-visit follow-up. You will coordinate testing, referrals, and documentation, serving as the first-line contact for patients and working across physician and staff teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in a surgical or clinical setting, strong customer service, and experience with electronic health records, preferably Next-Gen. On-site role with full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two to four years practice experience preferably in surgical environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Previous experience as an Administrative Patient Navigator preferred.
• Experience with electronic patient health record required, Next-Gen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and coordinates daily administrative coordination of patient experience including scheduling.
• Prepares charts for new patient consult by coordinating testing reports and referrals.
• Assists with patient testing coordination, provider/staff tasking, and follow-up communication.
• Enters data and documentation in patient health database and practice logs.
• Assists with patient billing inquiries and pre-authorizations for testing.
• Provides admin support to Physicians and Practice Manager as needed.
