Job summary

RadNet is hiring a Patient Service Representative in New Jersey to greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and coordinate with back-office staff. You will schedule appointments, guide patients through safety procedures, and safeguard PHI with professionalism in a fast-paced radiology environment.

The role requires excellent customer service and communication skills, HIPAA awareness, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong multitasking and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering exceptional customer service.
• Medical terminology knowledge; radiology office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures, ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees.
• Answer and transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments; confirm changes with staff.
• Provide patient orientation for preparatory and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care.
• Safeguard patient information and comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Safeguard site medications per policy and legal requirements.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and colleagues.
• Engage respectfully with patient boundaries and diverse backgrounds.
