Job summary

RadNet Bayonne, NJ is seeking a friendly Patient Service Representative to greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments in a fast-paced radiology environment. You will work with back-office staff to ensure accurate documentation and provide excellent customer service while guiding patients through prep steps and facility directions.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, solid computer skills, strong multitasking abilities, and prior experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Strong multitasking and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering exceptional customer service.
• Medical terminology knowledge and radiology office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log co-pays and fees.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and inform staff of changes.
• Provide prep instructions and directions to facilities as needed.
• Coordinate with back-office for timely patient care.
• Safeguard patient information and property according to policy and law.
• Maintain professionalism with patients and coworkers; respect boundaries.
