Job summary

CLS Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet visitors, verify information, collect co-pays, ensure referrals, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a medical office or customer service role. Excellent communication, multitasking, and attention to detail are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications is expected.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information.
• Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service.
• Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in.
• Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up to date.
• Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms; sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation.
• Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
