Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients within the physicians' network. The role focuses on delivering exceptional patient experiences through scheduling, registration, and front desk support.

You will collect accurate demographic and financial information, assist with referrals, and communicate appointment instructions while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in the Epic system.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer, customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments following clinic guidelines.
• Provide patient-friendly reception and registration.
• Collect demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Explain payment responsibilities and collect payments.
• Answer phones promptly and document messages clearly.
• Prepare and route medical records as needed.
• Cover at other locations during staffing shortages.
